Gifted Education Specialist

Dr. Reby Parsley earned her doctoral degree in Education Leadership with an emphasis in gifted education from University of Washington. Her dissertation evaluated the impact of elementary talent development models on academic growth and identification rates of minority students for gifted education services. She earned her Masters of Education from University of Washington in Curriculum and Instruction and undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Saint Martin's University. Reby has her National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Literacy and currently holds a Superintendent Credential. She currently works as the Secondary Gifted Specialist in Kent School District in Washington State and as an adjunct professor at Whitworth University. Reby is the president of the Washington Association of Educators for the Talented and Gifted (WAETAG) and the past president of the Washington Coalition for Gifted Education. She has 14 years of classroom teaching experience, most being in self-contained and gifted cluster classrooms.
