New Jersey Association for Gifted Children, New Jersey
Jennifer Madsen is Vice President and Advocacy Chair for the New Jersey Association for Gifted Children. Her work focuses on policy and building relationships with legislators at both the state and federal levels. She is the NJAGC representative to NAGC and served on NAGC’s Public Policy and Advocacy Committee from 2020-2023. Jen works closely with the NJ Department of Education as a Co-Chair of the Strengthening Gifted and Talented Education Advisory Council and was instrumental in passing the new law in NJ in 2020. In 2021, she was honored with a Joint Legislative Resolution from the NJ State Legislature for her work and dedication to gifted and talented education. Jen is the 2021 NJAGC Parent of the Year and a recipient of the NAGC David W. Belin Advocacy Award.
