Dr. Claire E. Hughes is Professor of Twice-Exceptional and Gifted Education at Cleveland State University. Previously, she was Professor of Elementary and Special Education at the College of Coastal Georgia, and a Fulbright Scholar to Greece. She is has been on boards with the National Association for Gifted Children, the Teacher Education Division (CEC-TED) of the Council for Exceptional Children and is President-Elect of The Association for the Gifted (CEC-TAG). She is an author of numerous books and chapters, and her research areas include: twice-exceptional children- particularly gifted children with autism; mental health of teachers; and international education.
