Tinysha L. McCordBrock (she/her/hers)

A veteran teacher, Dr. Tinysha McCord-Brock, spent fifteen years teaching in charter schools in Detroit, Michigan. She has a secondary education certificate for English 6-12 and a Masters in K-12 administration. MAJ McCord, a 20-year veteran of the Michigan Army National Guard, recently conferred her Doctor of Education in Transformational Leadership from Northcentral University-now National University in San Diego. Her dissertation, Middle School Teachers’ Self-Efficacy in Teaching Twice-Exceptional Learners: A Phenomenological Study, offers insight into the experiences of teachers with high self-efficacy and the agency to develop strategies that provide access discretely or universally to ensure learners’ needs are met. Her passions include British Romantic Literature, playwriting, service, and the effective education of gifted and special education learners.
