Megan Locke, Au.D.,CCC/A, is an audiologist and Executive Director at the Able Kids Foundation in Fort Collins, Colorado. Dr. Locke is accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. A native of Canton, Ohio, Dr. Locke earned a Doctor of Audiology degree from Central Michigan University where her passion for central auditory processing disorder began. She completed her residency year at a sound therapy center where she worked with children and adults with hearing and processing challenges and became a certified provider in various listening therapies. While these therapies provided benefits in some areas, Dr. Locke observed and documented a lack of improvement with central auditory processing challenges. Dr. Locke joined the Able Kids Foundation in 2008, excited about the opportunity to offer data-based solutions to individuals who struggle to understand auditory information in their daily environments. As a parent of 2e children herself, Dr. Locke has developed a passion for working with gifted individuals and their families over the past 15 years. She also enjoys speaking and educating other professionals about CAPD which has included local, state, and national conferences.
