Bekir Olcay Akce is a doctoral candidate in Gifted, Creative, and Talented Studies at Purdue University. His research interests include the effects of visual and performing art classes on creativity, the social and emotional development of gifted youth, and underrepresentation issues in gifted education. Prior to his doctoral study, he worked as an elementary school teacher in Turkey.
