Dr. Friedrichs is a lifelong teacher of gifted and special education students, with specialties in the areas of learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual needs, brain injuries, other health disabilities, and adult disabilities. A 40-year member of state and national gifted organizations, he has written widely not only on gifted youth with disabilities, but also on high-potential LGBTQ+ students and on the effects of federal and state funding and protective social policies within gifted education.
