Alyssa Grothaus (she/her/hers)

Alyssa Grothaus teaches Lower School ELA at The Grayson School. As an undergraduate, Aly studied education on a global scale through an internship in London and completed a research study on the importance of physical activity for activating student attention. She graduated summa cum laude from Elon University with a B.A. in Elementary Education, then taught grades 4 and 5 at River Mill Academy in North Carolina. Aly has written differentiated curriculum for elementary math, reading, and science, and her classes are guided by open discussion and hands-on exploratory learning opportunities.
