Mary Ann Clark has worked 46 years in education in both small rural and large urban districts. As an educator, she has been a classroom teacher (grades 2-12), Lead Teacher, Director of Advanced Academic Services, Asst. Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction, lead gifted curriculum writer. Additionally, she has served as a board member and president of several associations (Texas Association of Gifted Teachers, West Texas Association of Gifted Teachers, and South Central New Mexico Association for Gifted).
Mrs. Clark has been the recipient of several awards including NAGC Outstanding Curriculum, campus Teacher of the Year/EPISD District finalist, TAGT Regional Teacher of the Year, TAGT Regional Advocate of the Year, Outstanding Teaching of Humanities (TX Council for the Humanities), TX A&M Dean’s Round Table for Transformational Leadership. Delivers professional development in areas such as differentiated instruction, Parallel Curriculum Model, inclusion; provided PD/consultation in California, Florida, Oregon, Texas and New Mexico. She has presented at state, national, and world conferences.
Mrs. Clark earned her Bachelors Degree in Education at Texas Tech University and her Masters Degree in Supervision & Leadership at New Mexico State University. She is currently Coordinator of Special/Gifted Education in the Gadsden Independent School District in New Mexico.
