Dominique S. Lane, MEd (she/her/hers)

Gifted Resource Teacher
Norfolk Public Schools, Virginia

Dominique Lane is an educator with over fifteen years of experience. She began teaching as a substitute in Virginia Beach, VA while attending Old Dominion University. She currently works at an urban elementary school in Norfolk, VA where she is a Gifted Resource Teacher. Dominique serves on her school's leadership team and lends a hand as a mentor teacher and science lead in her building. She earned her Master's Degree from Liberty University and obtained teaching licenses in Business, Information Technology, and Gifted Education. Her Bachelor's degree from ODU is in Industrial Technology with a concentration in marketing and fashion merchandising. She enjoys volunteering at her daughter's schools and in the community she works, and teaches yoga weekly as her self-care. Dominique is honored to be presenting a poster on brain-based learning, a topic she is passionate about, for the first time at NAGC23!
