Elizabeth McCabe, a teacher at Hunter College Elementary School, specializes in teaching intellectually gifted students in the fifth grade. With over 20 years of experience, she has taught students across various grade levels, and has been a facilitator and administrator of gifted and enrichment programs. In her role as a gifted program administrator, she was dedicated to identifying and supporting the unique educational needs of gifted learners, ensuring that they are appropriately challenged and nurtured to reach their full potential. In her role as an educator, she continues to be dedicated to incorporating literacy practices that enable students to delve into different perspectives, develop empathy, and establish a meaningful community. Elizabeth’s knowledge in using literacy as a powerful tool for social-emotional growth, equips her with practical strategies and valuable insights on how to create a positive and supportive classroom environment.
