Anna H. Long (she/her/hers)

Association Director, Florida Odyssey of the Mind
Creative Opportunities Unlimited, Florida



Anna Long is in her second year serving as the Association Director for the Florida Odyssey Mind Association, Inc. ("FLOMA"). Prior to serving as FLOMA"S Association Director, Ann was the Regional Director for the Magic Center Region of Odyssey of the Mind, which comprises nine different counties in Central Florida. Anna first got involved in the Odyssey of the Mind (OOTM) Program when her daughter who is now 26, was a second grader. Anna served as a coach for over 12 years, taking teams to the World Finals Competition four (4) years in a row.

The opportunity to work with amazing kids and young adults from all over the State is what keeps Anna engaged ain the program. Seeing daily the capabilities of the next generation is not only inspiring, but rewarding and promising from Anna's perspective.

When not working on training opportunities and growing the program within the State, Anna works as an environmental and land use attorney, fulltime for the law firm of Dean Mead.

Anna is married and has two adult children, a son, Stephen who is a practicing veterinarian and a daughter, Emily, who is a Marketing and Business Development Manager for a construction company. OOTM is a family affair. Anna's husband is a judge and the State Photographer, while Stephen has served as a Spontaneous Judge and trainer. Emily is a Regional Problem Captain for Problem 5, Theater and has served on the State Board.
