Penny Zimring is President of the Maryland Educators of Gifted Students (MEGS) organization and serves on the Maryland State Advisory Council for Gifted and Talented Education. She is an adjunct instructor for the Johns Hopkins University International Teaching and Global Leadership Master’s Degree Program.
Ms. Zimring has worked in the field of gifted education in classroom and district-level leadership positions for over 25 years. She has presented at national and state conferences and has served as a consultant for school districts in Maryland and in Iksan, South Korea.
Ms. Zimring has been honored by The Marquis Who’s Who Publications Board as a recipient of the 2022 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Her biography is included in the 2022 edition of the Who’s Who in America. She continues to devote her career to providing professional development on gifted and talented/advanced education and advocating for students with gifts and talents.
