Gifted Learning Teacher Cherry Creek School District, Colorado
Gifted high school students are often burnt out with traditional Advanced Learning Plans (ALP). This session focuses on unconventional approaches that breathe new life into ALP goals. Participants learn tools that engage students using collaboration, voice and choice, post-secondary plans, and technology management systems. Participants hear from high school students about their ideas for making ALP goals more relevant.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will identify multiple resources that engage students in developing relevant goals.
Participants will reflect on their new understandings of how goals can support social-emotional development and post-secondary plans.
Participants will understand the ways technology can be used to connect gifted students with parents, counselors, teachers, and administrators.
