How will AI transform the future for our gifted students? AI has been called the fourth industrial revolution. In this session, we examine how AI will impact career pathways. Gifted students must be prepared to use AI tools and understand the value of what they can provide while also understanding their weaknesses in producing quality products and images.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the benefits and drawbacks of using tools such as ChatGPT in the gifted classroom.
  • Consider how AI tools are evolving and provide opportunities for gifted students to use such tools in a manner that prepares them for the future.
  • Create assignments and tasks that require students to use skills and knowledge to complete that cannot be produced through AI or that take evaluation, revision, elaboration, and synthesis before submitting.
