With new laws passing frequently around what educators can and cannot teach and what materials they can and cannot use in their classrooms, gifted educators need to be aware of ways in which they can create space for both critical discussions and controversial topics and issues in their classrooms. Join this panel of educators as they share tips for creating space for tough conversations, teaching critical thinking that can lead to students’ deeper understanding of controversial topics, and how you can advocate for and protect materials you might use in your classrooms.
