Universal screening is a fundamental part of equitable identification when used with a Multiple Pathways Identification Model. Student strengths are used for identification instead of static cut-scores. Pathways to identification are offered through both ability and achievement scores, teacher recommendations, and classroom performance. This session outlines the process used in the nation’s most diverse school district and its success.
