Every teacher knows that “those who do the most learn the most.” If students are doing the most in our classrooms, shouldn’t they be the ones to share it? By facilitating student-led conferences, teachers empower students to have agency over their own learning. In this session, attendees learn how to prepare for and facilitate student-led conferences.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover the importance of student-led conferences as an authentic method of presenting student learning.
  • Explore practical resources to support students as they prepare for conferences by using student-centered checklists and planning documents.
  • Receive tangible resources to organize and facilitate this authentic learning experience as the gifted resource teacher.
