Providing Gifted Services Without a Gifted Program: Engaging Our Neurodiverse Learners

No gifted program at your school? No problem! Learn the ins and outs of a successful pilot program that combined curriculum compacting with teacher mentoring to enhance the education of those gifted and Twice-Exceptional students who needed it most. Find out how doable this enrichment is for students with gifts and challenges in our public school system.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will learn how doable (and necessary) a curriculum compacting enrichment program is for classroom teachers to provide, even without the support of a schoolwide gifted program.
  • Participants will learn how to set up and run a successful enrichment program for gifted and Twice-Exceptional students within their classroom based on student interests and strengths.
