How do the primary gifted services of your school or district support talent development in students’ areas of strength? Does instruction align with identification measures? Participants in this session analyze the content of their existing primary services and explore opportunities to align learning with instructional standards in order to maximize opportunities for talent development in our youngest students.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will analyze and reflect on the content of their current primary (K-2) services.
  • Participants will learn strategies for aligning primary gifted instruction to learning standards.
  • Participants will discuss the benefits of standards-aligned instruction for primary (K-2) students.
