There is evidence that giftedness and strong Executive Function (EF) are related, but effective growth promotion in EF is harder to pinpoint. By the time students enter schools, much of their EF is already set. Students from poverty and trauma often suffer from not having adequate EF development in their early years. Learn how to change things for the better.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will understand the importance of EF in relation to giftedness, and will understand the impact COVID has potentially had on our youngest students.
Participants will explore strategic plans for supporting families through parent education, support networks, and district programs.
Participants will be able to pinpoint effective strategies for modeling and supporting EF in their students.
