Growing Giftedness: A Talent Development Program

Looking for ways to serve under-represented children who are showing gifted characteristics but who aren’t formally identified as gifted yet? Check out our Talent Development program for students in grades 2-5. Learn how we identify students using screening scores, how we serve with a STEM Literacy curriculum, and how we provide gifted pedagogy to grow critical and creative thinking skills.

Learning Objectives:

  • Attendees will be able to map out a plan to identify under-represented students and expand on curriculum ideas to begin a Talent Development program at their school or district.
  • Attendees will be able to analyze and interpret data to define criteria for Talent Development eligibility in their school or district.
  • Attendees will be able to develop rigorous criteria and constraints for STEM challenges to be used in the Talent Development classroom.
